This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding the collection, use, disclosure, and protection of data when you use the GoCrush mobile application, website, and associated services.
2. Information We Collect
To create meaningful connections while maintaining a secure dating ecosystem, we collect information in the following categories:
A. Information You Provide Directly
- Account Registration: Mobile phone number, verified email address, full name, date of birth, gender identity, and sexual orientation.
- Profile Details: Photos, personal biography, educational background, occupation, lifestyle interests, and relationship goals.
- Facial Geometry (Verification Selfies): If you choose to verify your account, we capture real-time 3D liveness selfies to confirm you match your photos and are 18+.
- In-App Messages & Media: Content of text messages, shared audio notes, and photos sent to matched users.
B. Information Collected Automatically
- Geolocation Data: With your permission, approximate GPS coordinates (latitude and longitude) to calculate proximity to potential matches. Your exact pinpoint location is never displayed to other users.
- Usage Activity: Swiping actions, matches, session timestamps, features accessed, and preferences selected.
- Device Telemetry: Device hardware model, operating system version, unique device identifiers (IDFA/AAID), IP address, and network connection type.
3. Why We Process Your Data
We process personal information under the legal bases of Contractual Necessity, Legitimate Interests, and Explicit Consent:
- Matchmaking Logic: Calculating compatibility scores and suggesting prospective matches in your geographical radius.
- Safety & CSAE Prevention: Automated scanning and hash checking to prevent harassment, underage usage, scams, and child exploitation.
- Subscription Processing: Managing GoCrush Gold and Platinum tier privileges via Google Play Store and Apple App Store in-app purchases.
- Support & Issue Resolution: Investigating reported profiles, customer tickets, and technical bugs.
5. Data Retention & The “Nuclear Wipe”
When you initiate an account deletion in the GoCrush app or via our web portal, our system executes a permanent Nuclear Wipe. All personal profile attributes, photos, verification selfies, chat histories, likes, and matches are permanently deleted from our active databases and media storage within 30 days.
Accounts remaining inactive for more than 24 consecutive months are automatically anonymized or purged.
6. Your Global Privacy Rights
Regardless of your jurisdiction (including the India IT Act, EU GDPR, and California CCPA), you hold the following fundamental rights:
- Right to Access: Request a complete export of your personal profile and telemetry records.
- Right to Rectification: Edit and update inaccurate profile information directly in settings.
- Right to Erasure (Right to be Forgotten): Permanently delete your account and all associated records.
- Right to Withdraw Consent: Revoke location access or marketing preferences at any time via device settings.
7. Security & Encryption Standards
