Account Deletion & Data Wipe
Learn how to permanently delete your GoCrush profile, photos, and messages, or submit a self-service web deletion request.
In compliance with the IT Rules 2021, any legal notice, complaint, or privacy inquiry should be addressed to:
1. Account Deletion Policy
At GoCrush, we respect your sovereignty over your personal data. We empower you to delete your account at any time, directly through the mobile application settings or via this official web portal.
Account deletion is irreversible. Once triggered, your entire profile, photos, verification selfies, active matches, and chat threads are permanently expunged through our Nuclear Wipe procedure and cannot be restored.
2. How to Delete in the Mobile App
The fastest way to delete your account is directly inside the GoCrush mobile app:
- Open the GoCrush app on your iOS or Android device.
- Tap the Profile tab in the bottom right navigation bar.
- Tap the Settings gear icon (⚙) in the top corner.
- Scroll down to the bottom and select Delete Account.
- Choose your departure reason and tap Permanently Delete Account to confirm.
3. What Happens When You Delete? (Nuclear Wipe)
When account deletion is executed, our backend automatically performs the following actions:
Your phone number, email, and OAuth session tokens are purged from Firebase Auth.
Your name, bio, prompts, education, and lifestyle tags are permanently deleted.
All photo buckets and 3D facial verification records are completely expunged.
All past conversation threads, swipes, and active matches are wiped clean.

5. GDPR & India IT Act Rights
Under Article 17 of the EU GDPR (Right to Erasure) and Rule 3 of the India Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines) Rules, all user records not strictly required for active fraud prevention or tax reporting are expunged within 30 days of deletion request confirmation.
